This workbook provides a variety of activities designed to help children strengthen their math readiness skills. The material serves as an introduction to the curriculum in most basic mathematics texts. The pages are presented in a suggested order, but may be used in any order which best meets a child's needs. The following skills are presented to prepare children for further math instruction: size and position discrimination, ordinal numbers (first, second, third), shapes (circle, square, rectangle, triangle), number recognition (through 10), number concepts (1 through 10), and number words.
